Remnant 2 and Remnant: From The Ashes Arrive on Xbox Game Pass—A December Full of Exciting Games!
The December lineup for Xbox Game Pass is enriched with the addition of two highly anticipated titles: “Remnant: From the Ashes” and its sequel, “Remnant 2.” The latter, launched in July, has already distinguished itself as a significant improvement over its predecessor, offering a game experience that is enhanced in every way.
“Remnant: From the Ashes” and Its Success
“Remnant: From the Ashes,” warmly received by both critics and fans, captured the audience’s attention with over three million copies sold since its launch in August 2019. Its popularity also led to a port for Nintendo Switch, released this March.
“Remnant 2”: The Sequel That Surpasses the Original
“Remnant 2” reached the milestone of two million copies sold in just over two months, with one million of those sales occurring in the launch week alone. This success has recently expanded with the release of “The Awakened King,” the first of three planned expansions.
Available Platforms
“Remnant: From the Ashes” is accessible on Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series X and S, being a title from the previous generation. “Remnant 2,” however, is available exclusively on PC and on Microsoft’s current-generation consoles.
The Surprise Arrival on Game Pass
It is unclear whether the inclusion of these games on Game Pass without prior notice was planned or the result of an oversight. However, the arrival coincides with The Game Awards on December 7, which could have been an ideal platform for such announcements.

Microsoft has confirmed the arrival of numerous other titles on Game Pass in December, including “SteamWorld Build,” “Against the Storm,” “Far Cry 6,” “World War Z – Aftermath,” “Goat Simulator 3,” “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” “Clone Drone in the Danger Zone,” “Tin Hears,” “While the Iron’s Hot,” and “Spirit of the North.” In addition, on December 6, Game Pass Core will include “Chivalry 2” and “Totally Reliable Delivery Service.”
